We have received a shipment of H1N1 vaccines. According to the State of CT; Dept of Public Health the priority populations are as follows:
- Pregnant women
- Persons who live with or provide care for infants aged <6 months
- Persons aged 6 months through 24 years
- Persons aged 25-64 who have medical conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications which are listed as: asthma, neurological disorders, chronic lung disease, heart disease, blood disorder, endocrine disorder (diabetes), kidney or liver disease.
- Health-care and emergency medical services personnel
Patients age 65 and over are NOT eligible for this vaccine at this time unless they fit the criteria of providing care for an infant <6 months.
