Dimitri graduated from the Hahnemann University Physician Assistant Program in Philidelphia in 1997 and from the University of Connecticut Physical Therapy Program in 1993, both with Distinguished Honors. Additionally, Dimitri graduated with a Masters in Business Administration from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT. He has been in practice in Primary Care/Internal Medicine since ‘97 and has worked extensively in Orthopedics. He came to New Milford Medical Group to develop its Physician Assistant Program in 2002. He has special interest in Cardiovascular Risk Assessment and Orthopedics. He has received special recognition in Surgery from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is trained in the performance of Orthopedic office procedures including joint injection and aspiration, splinting and exercise/rehabilitation prescription. He has a special interest in exercise injury prevention and helping the geriatric population maintain its independence and physical activity level.
Dimitri wears “two hats” at NMMG. In addition to his clinical practice, he serves as NMMG’s Director of Ancillary Services, and is charged with managing, developing and ensuring the quality of NMMG’s PA program, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography, Bone Density and other Ancillary programs.
